Jonas Brothers: Concept Art

A few years ago I helped out friend, Amy Tinkham, on some concept art for the Jonas Brothers tour she was trying to score as Artistic Director.  I don't know if she ever got the job but working with her on the concepting was lots of fun.  I met her working on Ringling Bros. Circus.  She was the director and fellow Hoosier.  

FRITO-LAY: storyboards

Can't really show these but I created storyboards for 7 of their popular commercials in 2009-2010.  It was a great job.  

Freedom Festival

Here's a logo for the Freedom Festival in Evansville, IN.  I was told to go after MTV generation.  They needed to market the youth and bring them out to this years event.  Needless to say, the logo was squashed and I had to produce a basic american flag logo.  LOL. 

Humble Beginnings

I think every designer begins here.  Retail.  I must say there is something to be said for designing retail because most early designers can't.  They don't teach "hard" retail in most schools.  My first job was as sink or swim ordeal.  

Inhale life storyboards

I was fortunate enough in my early career to work with a great company in AZ called Union Digital. They are a great group of guys.  I collaborated with them on the Inhale Life campaign.  This is one of my first storyboards ever. 

Pirate Pete's Pizza

I often get asked to create characters for businesses.  I enjoy creating them but feel I'm always held back by client's creative decisions.  One day I'll create a business and use a giant honey badger as my mascot.  LOL. That'll be fun to draw. 

LongShot Publishing Logo

I remember doing this logo for a company in AZ.  They were pretty good at knowing exactly what they wanted. It's a shame really.  I would have loved to let loose on this one.  

Lollipop Tree Logo Design

Something I completed nearly 4 years ago.  It was a lot of fun to do.  At the time it was my first experience at a high end retailer.  I think it holds up over time better than my other logos from that era.  

Lumaworx Branding

Having a foot in branding a company is my absolute favorite thing to do.  I really enjoy the creative process of starting something from scratch.  You can see here many evolutions of the Lumaworx brand. 

RotorMan: Stellar

I updated the character RotorMan for Stellar.  I tried to make him a little more classic so he'll stand the test of time.  The old RotorMan had on hot pants.
